 Thought for 1-7-06

Today's NFL pLayoff gane between Washington and Tampa Bay pointed out a couple of GLARING needs in the rules and replay.
First off with the score 0-0 Washington made an interception, at the end of the return Lavar Arrington CLEARLY fumbled. Tampa Bay recovered. The play was not revewable because Arrington was ruled down by contact. This is wrong and should change.
The second incident cam near the end of the game. With Tampa down17-10 QB Chris Simms threw an apparent TD to his receiver. The referee ruled no catch, the play was reviewed. The replays showed the receiver CLEARLY catch the ball with both hands clutching it to his chest, both his feet were down and as his upper body hit the ground the ball came loose. The ruling NO CATCH! This has to be addressed because there is no foubt he caught the ball. The NFL has so complicated the rules that no call is clear anymore!

When is America going to get sick of these "reality" shows? Dancing With the Stars? Skating With the Stars, The Bachelor, Bachelorette, Survivor, Trading Spouses, ENOUGH ALREADY!
What is next? Shopping With the Stars? Driving Around With Stars? I mean good grief, what is wrong with us that we find such drivel entertaining?

Once more let me ask this to all those calling securing our borders or cracking down on illegal immigration racist. WHAT PART OF ILLEGAL DO YOU NOT GET?
These days police who arrest illegals are labelled as racist vigilantes. What is this insanity? A nation not only holds every moral right to have its borders respected but has a solemn duty to protect those borders.
This is not abot race, it is about law, order, national security, and national sovereignty. Of course consider that those playing the race card here are leftists who do not want nations or borders or private property. They are largely hippy Marxists who still are deluded enough to buy into the Marxist Utopian ideals of one worldism.

Always been amazed that some Americans actually sit around and fret over what France or China, or Peru, or any country thinks about America.
Frankly does it matter what other nations think? We are a sovereign nation, and should NEVER base any policy upon what other nations do. ESPECIALLY countries that are far less successful and free than we are!

I have always found it very odd that the "war protesters" are very upset over the civillian casualties they say have occurred in Iraq because of the American military.
The odd thing is I do not recall any of these folks announcing their grief over the hundreds of thousands Saddam killed and tortured.
